A Note from the Principal

Dear Parents, Students, Teachers and Members of the Gaurs International School Community,

It is with a deep sense of responsibility and great enthusiasm that I welcome you to Gaurs International School, Siddharth Vihar.

Every school has its own character. It is shaped not only by its vision and infrastructure, but by the everyday conversations in its classrooms, the questions children ask, the encouragement given by teachers, the trust of parents and the many small moments through which children grow. I believe that it is this collective spirit that truly makes a school.

For me, education has always been about much more than academic achievement. Of course, strong foundations in learning matter deeply. But so do curiosity, confidence, kindness, resilience, creativity and the ability to think for oneself. The world our children are growing up in is changing rapidly, and our responsibility is to prepare them not simply to keep pace with that world, but to participate in it thoughtfully and purposefully.

I believe children learn best when they are given the opportunity to explore, question, create and experience. A good classroom should therefore leave room for discussion, experimentation and even a few mistakes. Learning should extend beyond textbooks—to the arts, sports, technology, conversations, projects and experiences that help children make sense of the world around them.

At the heart of this is the teacher. I have always believed that a school grows when its teachers grow. Creating a culture where teachers are encouraged to learn, collaborate, innovate and reflect will remain an important part of my work. Equally important is creating an environment in which every child feels known, respected and encouraged to become the best version of themselves.

I also believe strongly in the partnership between school and home. Parents know their children in ways that we cannot, and teachers see dimensions of a child that may not always be visible at home. When these perspectives come together with trust and openness, children benefit the most. I look forward to building that partnership with you—not only in times of celebration, but also in the conversations that help us understand and support our children better.

As I begin this journey at Gaurs International School, my hope is that we build a school where academic excellence is accompanied by humanity; where achievement does not come at the cost of well-being; where children are encouraged to have both roots and wings; and where they gradually develop the confidence to think, the courage to question and the sensitivity to care.

I look forward to knowing our students, working closely with our teachers, listening to our parents and learning from the larger community.

There is much to look forward to, and I am grateful to be a part of this journey.

Warm regards,

Awani Singh
