“Just like learning to communicate in English is an essential skill today, so is financial language an equally important aspect of effective holistic education. today, the younger ones in our houses know much more about mobile phones and laptops, but lack money management skill”
I am Jagmohan Tyagi working with Gaurs International School as a Headmaster. I have worked with renowned schools like Apeejay International School, VBPS, SSCS, GPSSS, St .Mary Convent and carry a vast experience of 23 years in the field of education. According to me “Teach children the difference between things they need and the things they want. The role of teachers and parents in the development of a child cannot be quantified. This is particularly made possible through smooth and effective communication.
Effective communication between teachers and parents increases the likelihood that the duo will be more involved in the child’s education and also help to build strong relationship between families. Parents must understand that they have a role to play in their ward’s education and work together with the teachers to achieve the same goal of helping a child to learn and succeed in life.
As a Senior Headmaster I have experienced conducive learning environment here at Gaurs International School and this is the school where we nurture the children with values according to Indian Culture and equally focus on skill building.
The Senior School years are among the most significant stages in a young person’s life. Classes XI and XII are not merely about preparing for examinations; they are about preparing students for the choices, responsibilities, challenges, and opportunities that lie ahead.
At Gaurs International School, we believe that education must prepare students not only for a successful career but also for a meaningful and responsible life. Our Senior Wing therefore strives to create an environment where academic excellence, character, confidence, discipline, and essential life skills develop together.
As students progress through these important years, they are encouraged to become independent thinkers and responsible decision-makers. Our aim is to help them move beyond learning merely for marks and develop the ability to question, analyse, communicate, collaborate, solve problems, and apply their knowledge to real-life situations. Alongside academics, we place emphasis on time management, effective communication, resilience, digital awareness, leadership, and responsible decision-making.
We believe that discipline is the bridge between aspiration and achievement. At this stage, students must gradually learn to take ownership of their academics, attendance, conduct, commitments, and choices. As educators, our responsibility is to guide them with empathy and clarity while nurturing the confidence they need to take responsibility for their own journey.
Our vision of education extends beyond the classroom. We provide students with opportunities through sports, co-curricular activities, leadership initiatives, career guidance, mentoring, experiential learning, and community engagement. We also seek to nurture environmentally responsible citizens by helping students understand sustainability, mindful consumption, and the importance of making choices that contribute to a better and more sustainable future.
The partnership between students, parents, and teachers becomes especially important during these formative years. Open communication, mutual trust, and a shared understanding of each student’s aspirations and challenges enable us to support every learner more effectively. Every student has unique potential and a different path to success, and our endeavour is to help each one discover and pursue that path with confidence.
“Every child deserves a learning environment where they feel safe enough to explore, confident enough to question, and inspired enough to grow”
An accomplished educational leader with over a decade of distinguished experience in Early Years and Primary Education, recognized for building nurturing, high-performing learning environments where children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. My professional journey across esteemed institutions of Delhi NCR has shaped me into a progressive leader with a deep understanding of contemporary pedagogy, curriculum innovation, and school excellence.
I believe that the earliest years of schooling are among the most powerful years in a child’s life—years in which confidence, curiosity, identity, and lifelong learning habits begin to take root. For me, education extends far beyond academic achievement; it is about shaping thoughtful, resilient, compassionate, and future-ready individuals.
At Gaurs our leadership philosophy is deeply aligned with the transformative vision of Ministry of Education, Government of India’s National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, with a strong focus on Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN), competency-based learning, multidisciplinary thinking, experiential pedagogy, and holistic development. We champion a shift from traditional rote-based instruction toward learning experiences that cultivate critical thinking, communication, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving.
I bring with me a strong expertise in:
We strongly advocate for evidence-based educational practices rooted in frameworks such as Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), Differentiated Instruction, and Universal Design for Learning (UDL), ensuring that each learner receives equitable opportunities to succeed. Our approach acknowledges that no two children learn alike, and therefore, meaningful education must honor individual pace, potential, and voice.
What distinguishes our leadership is the ability to seamlessly integrate structure with sensitivity, compliance with compassion, and accountability with trust. I believe that sustainable school excellence emerges when systems are robust, expectations are clear, and relationships are rooted in empathy and mutual respect.
Guided by standards and evolving best practices from institutions such as CBSE, NCERT, and PARAKH, we remain committed to fostering learning ecosystems that are rigorous, inclusive, and future-oriented, while remaining deeply grounded in Indian ethos and values.
As the Primary Headmistress at Gaurs International School, I envision creating a culture where every child feels safe, valued, inspired, and empowered to discover their fullest potential. We are committed to building a school environment where learning is joyful yet purposeful, discipline is positive, and every stakeholder—students, teachers, and parents—works in alignment toward a shared vision of excellence.
My enduring belief is simple yet powerful:
When children are placed at the heart of every decision, schools become spaces where potential transforms into possibility.
